it has almost nothing to do with the farm

I gotta tell you about something...but it has almost nothing to do with the farm.

Well...it kind of does. See, it's something I do at the farm. And it's something that will help me buy feed for the animals I keep adding to the barn. So...then, it kind of relates, right?

I'm very much back into writing, and I made an author website. Which seems silly to say because although "author" generally means someone who has published something...most people take it to mean someone who has published a book. I've not yet published a book (although I have two done and the third is getting there) but I have published several articles in magazines and online. So I'm at a loss for what to call myself. "Writer website" sounded kind of lame. So I said "author website". Please don't call the word police. I don't have time to go to jail.

Anyhow, so if you want to check out my site, here it is. You can even follow or subscribe if you want updates on all that writer-y type stuff.

Ok. So that's that. You can all return to your real farm work now. :)

    1. Erin - I generally don't like to get into the snag fest and word wars over writer and author, but I know some people do. I was always told if you have time to argue about it, you're not spending enough time writing. :)

  5. Awesome. I should do that. I've been in magazines and other on-line publications, but I haven't written a book yet. I should too. You inspire me.

  8. I just checked out your author site but see there are no links to the works you've already published. I'm sure we'd all be interested to read articles and works from your past.

  9. :) Congrats and good luck, Amy!

I'm finishing the LAST (oh dear lord, let it be the last) edit of my manuscript (mystery, amateur sleuth) and plan to start querying agents in early July. (I actually have an all-things-writerly blog not associated with my Reasonable Season blog, but my Mister and I decided to keep both strictly separate.)

It's an exciting experience, writing and preparing to query, isn't it? I've decided to pursue traditional publishing even though I know self-pubbing is making waves. But who knows? I never throw out the baby with the bathwater! ;)

I don't know your policy of allowing links in comments, but here are three titles of the best "for writers by writers" blogs I've found. (So helpful!) If you Google them, they'll come right up:

    Anne R. Allen's Blog
    Author, Jody Hedlund Blog
Mystery Writing is Murder Elizabeth Spann Craig
